Job summary

Teva Canada is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to design, commission, and optimize automated manufacturing systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, compliance, and efficiency in a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI programming skills, experience with GMP and ISO standards, and the ability to lead capital projects while ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering or related field; Engineering Technology considered.
  • Minimum 5 years designing/commissioning/maintaining industrial control systems.
  • P.Eng designation or eligibility preferred.
  • Strong GMP/FDA/ISO knowledge in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on PLC/HMI programming in pharma/biopharma settings.

Responsibilities

  • Design, commission, optimize and troubleshoot automated systems.
  • Develop and review hardware/software control designs for equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI; interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ensure cGMP compliance and regulatory requirements across projects.
  • Coordinate capital projects, vendor inspections and FAT/SAT activities.
