Job summary

PTW Energy Services in the GTA is hiring a Petroleum Mechanic for ongoing work. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing equipment across terminal sites with a Monday–Friday shift and variable hours.

Local travel within commuting distance is required, with a pay rate of $50–$55 per hour. Candidates must hold PM3 or PMH certification, have at least 3 years of relevant experience, and be able to work under safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Valid PM3 or PMH Certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in petroleum handling or terminal maintenance.
  • Understanding of environmental codes and petroleum equipment safety standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license; travel to terminal sites as required.
  • Safety tickets such as CSTS, WHMIS, and TDG are assets.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be local or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair petroleum handling equipment and systems.
  • Perform piping, mechanical and containment repairs following regs.
  • Conduct system inspections, leak tests, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support shutdowns, retrofits, and commissioning tasks on site.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment specs.
  • Collaborate with operations and instrumentation teams to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.

Job Details
  • Shift:Monday - Friday
  • Working Hours:8 to 10 hours per day based on workload requirements
  • Rate:$50 to $55/hr
  • Travel Pay:Travel expenses are not covered for this local position. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area
Day In The Life
  • Install, maintain, and repair petroleum handling equipment, product lines, and mechanical systems within terminal or bulk plant facilities.
  • Perform piping, mechanical, and containment system repairs following environmental and safety regulations.
  • Conduct system inspections, leak tests, and preventative maintenance on fueling and product transfer systems.
  • Support shutdowns, retrofits, and commissioning tasks on site.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with operations and instrumentation teams to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
