Job summary

PTW Energy Services is recruiting Electrical Journeymen for Hamilton, Ontario, to support a variety of future projects. If you are a licensed 309A journeyperson, you will work on industrial electrical installations, motor and drive systems, and control panels.

Compensation ranges from $43 to $45 per hour with diverse shift options. Local candidates or those willing to travel within the Greater Toronto/Hamilton area are preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Licensed 309A Electrical Journeyperson.
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must be reliable and dependable (punctual and ready to work).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safely.
  • Preference given to those with previous Industrial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs AC/DC Motors and Drives, PLC's, 480V power, 120V control circuits, 4160-volt switchgear, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical controls.
  • Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
  • Sizes and installs electrical circuits including panels, wire size and type, conduit, protective devices, switches, and related equipment needed to comply with the CEC and/or NEC or OEC.
  • Fabricates, installs and/or runs conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting and panel work.

PTW is hiring Electrical Journeymen to join ourteam in Hamilton, Ontario for various future positions.
GOOD TO KNOW:
  • Shift:5 days on/ 2 days off, or 4 days on 3 days off, or 10 days on 4 days off, or 14 days on 7 days off – variable depending on job.
  • Must be local to the Greater Toronto/ Hamilton areas or willing to travel
  • Wage: $43-45/ hour

TICKETS REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have valid safety tickets (CSTS-20, Standard First Aid, Working at Heights, AWP, WHMIS)
  • A valid Class G driver's license is required.
