Job summary

Pet Valu is seeking a Keyholder for its Forest, Ontario location. The role focuses on cashiering, customer service, stock handling, and store maintenance, with emphasis on safety, compassion, and efficiency in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in retail or customer service, can lift 50 lbs, are comfortable with a flexible schedule, and possess reliable transportation. Training and staff discounts are offered as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in retail or customer service.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to/from the store.

Responsibilities

• Handle cashier and customer sales duties.
• Prepare merchandise orders, banking and related paperwork.
• Stock shelves and merchandise (items up to 50 lbs).
• Stock and stockroom maintenance, store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and placing items on the floor.
• Open and close the store following procedures.
