Job summary

Abell Pest Control Inc. in Victoria, BC is seeking a Pest Technician to conduct inspections, identify pest problems, and eradicate pests while recommending prevention strategies. The role includes building new business through on-site sales and a focus on customer satisfaction.

You will receive base salary, commission on new business, and performance bonuses, plus company vehicle, health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and paid vacation. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License.
• Sales and pest experience an asset.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear guidelines
• Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site

Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.
