Job summary

Rentokil Terminix is hiring a Pest Control Technician based in Red Deer, AB. You will inspect properties, apply treatments, and build lasting client relationships on a route-based schedule.

Requirements include a valid full driver's license, a high school diploma, and 1–2 years of customer-facing or route-based experience. Training provided; licensing support is available with manager assistance. The role includes a company vehicle, a cell phone, and production bonuses after probation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer-facing and/or route-based experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Willing to obtain Structural Exterminator Licensing with manager assistance.
• Available Mon-Fri with some weekends or on-call shifts when needed.
• Ability to work independently throughout daily tasks after training.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the interior and exterior of properties on a recurring schedule to identify infestation source, extent of damage, and access to infested locations.
• Preparing and applying product on infested areas using mechanical or electric sprayer and setting traps as per regulatory guidelines.
• Offering recommendations to clients on preventing pest infestation.
• Operate company truck and maintain service equipment.
• Build customer relationships through friendly, helpful, and courteous behavior during service visits.
• Identify and engage customers of additional service offerings that will provide value to the customer.
• Studying preliminary reports of infested areas and determining the treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Ensuring all work is documented and submitted electronically after each visit.
• Performing other duties as required

Requirements

• Valid FULL driver’s license and ability to pass a MVR check

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years of customer facing and/or route based experience
• Must pass a pre-employment background screendf-iface
• Willing to obtain and maintain Structural Exterminator Licensing within the province with manager assistance
• Available to work Monday to Friday with some weekends or on call shifts when needed
• Ability to work independently throughout daily task after training
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
• Attention to detail
