Job summary

Avenue Living Residential in Calgary is seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to protect our rental communities from infestations. You will inspect properties, develop tailored management plans, apply treatments, and keep detailed service records.

The role requires a pest control license, strong communication, physical ability, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work outside regular hours as part of on-call rotations. We offer safety-forward work and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Proficient with multiple programs and systems on mobile devices.
• Excellent communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable vehicle.
• Criminal background check required for role.

Responsibilities

• Proactively inspect properties to identify pest infestations and entry points.
• Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to each client.
• Apply pest control treatments using various methods per regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including treatment details and follow-ups.
• Deliver excellent customer service and educate residents on prevention strategies.
• Receive and complete work orders thoroughly and promptly to meet standards.
• Manage resident requests with proper follow-up for timely completion.
• Build long-term relationships with residents through service excellence.
• Adopt a safety-first mindset and complete required training by deadlines.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
• Be available for scheduled On Call and respond to emergencies as required.
• Other duties as required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Proactively conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
• Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Apply appropriate pest control treatments using various methods, including chemical applications and traps as per regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment details and follow-up recommendations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and educating them on pest prevention strategies.
• Receive and complete assigned work orders thoroughly and in a timely manner to ensure service standards are met.
• Responsible for managing resident requests and engaging in proper follow-up to ensure work orders are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Deliver excellent customer service to develop long-term relationships with our valued residents.
• Have a safety-first attitude by completing all requested training by deadline and focus on maintaining a clean and safe job site and the ability to identify risks and hazards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Be available for scheduled On Call and respond to emergencies as required.
• Other duties as required.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• A technology-savvy skillset with the ability to work within multiple programs and systems at the same time via mobile phone.
• Pest control license required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to meet Resident needs.
• Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
• A valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Mandatory requirement to be clean shaven to wear a respirator as required.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours and be part of the On Call Rotation.
• Must complete & pass a criminal record check.
