Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our team in the Barrie Area for Long-Term Care Facilities. We’re ready when you are!

Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor and observational care duties, helping create an environment that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. Each assignment involves a full 8-12 hour shift at one facility. This is a casual position with flexible shifts.

Job Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from an Ontario Community College Program, or equivalent, with successful completion of the final exam by NACC, or an approved Ontario Board of Education PSW Program.
• Clinical or work experience as a PSW within the past two years, preferably in LTC.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including pushing / pulling up to 250 pounds, lifting 50 pounds, working at / above shoulder height, standing / walking long periods, and frequent bending or reaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow a care plan with minimal supervision.
• Proof of immunizations, TB test or chest x-ray, current BCLS-HCP, N95 fit test, and willingness to undergo a police check.
• Willing to work at multiple locations and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• PSW certification with 6 months of Canadian work experience in relevant settings.
