Job summary

S&R Group in Sarnia, Ontario is seeking casual PSW staff to support residents in our long-term care home. You will help with daily living tasks, assist with mobility and nutrition, and work closely with the care team to ensure comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or HSPCOA registration is required.
• VSS check completed within the past 6 months.
• TB 2 Step updated within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Assisted residents with daily living activities, including safe lifts and transfers, bathing, and feeding, promoting independence, comfort, and dignity.
• Worked side-by-side with RPNs and the care team to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Completed POC tasks, ensuring resident information is accurate and up to date.
• Participated in shift reports, care conferences, and team huddles, contributing to planning and improving resident care.
• Supported residents with mobility, personal care, and nutrition while noticing changes that matter.
• Created meaningful moments by connecting with residents, celebrating milestones, and making them feel valued.
• Mentored new team members through structured programs, sharing experience and strengthening the care culture.

Education

PSW Certificate or HSPCOA Registration

VSS clearance (within past 6 months)
