Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, established standards, and recognized nursing practice.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assist registered staff in nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
2. Complete all documentation on time, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
3. Offer holistic, quality resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Resident Bill of Rights.
4. Support resident meal service and restorative nursing.
5. Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
6. Follow legislation, best practices, and corporate policies in care execution.
7. Participate in risk management and quality improvement programs.
8. Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all care provided.
9. Engage in mentoring and educational initiatives for new staff/students.
10. Attend departmental, interdisciplinary, and safety meetings.
11. Promote teamwork and adherence to health and safety procedures, including proper equipment use and PPE.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum age of 18.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written; second language skills are an asset.
• Completion of a Ministry-approved PSW training program (minimum 640 hours) or being a student in related health fields.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray, current CPR and First Aid certificates, and compliance with health surveillance and criminal record checks.
