Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services as per care plans and standards, ensuring emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients
• Perform duties within provincial scope of practice, including skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning, exercise, basic wound care, feeding, oxygen administration, and medication reminders
• Conduct specialized procedures with proper training and competency
• Observe, document, and report client condition changes
• Implement infection prevention practices
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Engage in health and safety activities, reporting risks to supervisors
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information
• Complete other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Personal Support Worker program
• At least one year of recent personal care experience or relevant life experience
