• Maintain a calm, safe night environment and respond promptly to client needs.
• Assist with bedtime routines, overnight toileting, and morning preparation as required.
• Document care activities in Carelee procedures and monitor client well‑being.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with basic medication organization as directed.
• Support light household tasks safely during overnight hours.
• Communicate changes in client condition to families and Carelee team.
• Follow safety procedures, infection control practices, and emergency protocols.
• Use mobility aids safely and according to training.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Carelee’s conduct standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight personal care, including hygiene support, repositioning, mobility assistance, and safety monitoring.
• Maintain a calm, safe environment throughout the night and respond promptly to client needs.
• Support clients with bedtime routines, overnight toileting, and morning preparation as required.
• Monitor client well-being and document all care activities in accordance with Carelee procedures.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with basic medication organization as directed by the family or healthcare provider.
• Assist with light household tasks that can be completed safely during overnight hours.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and the Carelee team regarding any changes in condition.
• Follow safety procedures, infection control practices, and emergency protocols.
• Use mobility aids and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Carelee’s professional conduct standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Ontario-recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Functional English communication skills for documentation and client interaction.
• Physical capacity to perform personal care and mobility assistance.
• Ability to travel within assigned service areas using public transit or a personal vehicle.
• Smartphone with data for accessing schedules, documenting care tasks, and completing shift check-in/out through mobile software.
• Consistent reliability, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled overnight assignments.
• Valid SIN and eligibility to work in Canada.

Assets

• Experience providing overnight care or working night shifts.
• Experience supporting clients with dementia, palliative needs, or complex care requirements.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for assignments in areas with limited public transit.
• Additional training, such as GPA, U First, or dementia related workshops.
• Proof of immunization may be requested for specific client environments.
