VON Canada is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide in-home, person-centered care across Ontario. You will support clients with daily living activities, help implement care plans, and ensure comfort and independence in their own homes.

The role involves driving between clients, maintaining safety, and coordinating with healthcare teams. Qualifications include PSW/DSW cert, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license with insurance.

Formación

• Certification as PSW or DSW is required.
• Nursing students who completed first year of RPN/BScN are eligible.
• Must hold a current First Aid or CPR Level C certificate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.

Responsabilidades

• Provide home-based client care with a person-centred approach.
• Help develop and follow the client's care plan.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Support mobility and safe transfers between locations.
• Plan nutritious meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Offer respite care to families as needed.
• Monitor home safety and collaborate with healthcare teams.

About the role:

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you'll use your training to provide person-centred care, support daily living, and help clients stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. What you'll do:

• Provide care to clients in the comfort of their own homes

What we are looking for:

• Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker certification
• Nursing students who have completed first year of RPN or BScN or internationally educated nurses are eligible to apply
• Must have a current Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate, if applicable to the work being performed
• Must enjoy driving, have a personal vehicle and possess both a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
• A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
