Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Cambridge

Responsibilities

1. Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living, following corporate policies, standards, and nursing practices.
2. Assist registered staff with diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
3. Complete documentation accurately and timely, adhering to policies.
4. Deliver holistic, quality resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Resident Bill of Rights.
5. Support resident meal services and restorative nursing.
6. Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
7. Ensure care compliance with legislation, best practices, and policies.
8. Participate in risk management, quality improvement, and safety meetings.
9. Mentor new staff and promote educational opportunities.
10. Adhere to health and safety procedures, including proper equipment use and PPE.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. Proficient in English; second language skills are an asset.
3. Completion of a Ministry-approved PSW training program (min 640 hours) or relevant healthcare education.
4. Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
5. Negative TB test or chest x-ray, current CPR and First Aid certificates.
6. Meet health surveillance requirements and pass criminal record checks.
