Job summary

SE Health is hiring Part Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for community care shifts in Whitby and Ajax. The role includes mileage reimbursement and paid travel time between clients.

We seek compassionate caregivers who can work days or evenings and every other weekend, with CPR and First Aid, immunizations, and a valid PSW certificate. Join SE Health, a not-for-profit social enterprise advancing community health in Canada.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and vehicle to use for work daily.
• Must meet immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus.
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC).
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid.
• Availability to work days or evenings and every other weekend.
• Physically demanding role with lifting up to 55 pounds and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Support Services to clients in community care settings.
• Travel between clients with mileage paid; manage care plans and documentation as applicable.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW:

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus

• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to workdays OR eveningsand every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
