Job summary

FSB GROUP LTD. in Concord, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Team Lead to lead and coach a team in an on-site leadership role.

This position focuses on delivering exceptional client service, maintaining quality workflows, and driving business results in a collaborative, dynamic environment. You will mentor team members, optimize scheduling, manage escalations, and maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or people-management experience
  • Strong Personal Lines technical knowledge and understanding of brokerage operations
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring and leading a team
  • Strong client-service and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong team player with a collaborative leadership style
  • Power Broker experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor the Personal Lines team to deliver exceptional client service
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Provide regular feedback, guidance and support to encourage professional development; monitor workflow, service levels and quality to ensure client expectations are met
  • Optimize team scheduling to meet client servicing needs
  • Ensure documentation and transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines
  • Handle and resolve escalations involving clients, insurers, underwriters and producers
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with insurance companies and underwriters
  • Analyze and resolve service and sales issues and follow up on escalated situations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow and the overall client experience
  • Support the implementation of company initiatives and changes within the Personal Lines department
  • Maintain current knowledge of company procedures, insurer requirements and underwriting guidelines
  • Accept risks within established underwriting guidelines
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and identify opportunities for employee development and succession planning
  • Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement

The Opportunity

As Personal Lines Team Lead, you will be a subject matter expert and hands-on leader responsible for supporting the Personal Lines team and ensuring strong service, quality, workflow and business results. You will play an important role in fostering a positive, collaborative team environment while providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
