Job description

Bayshore is growing and we are seeking Personal Caregivers who are looking for flexible hours. We offer casual home and community care jobs.

****(PSW’s) Personal Support Worker OR (HCA) Certificates required and those who have their own personal vehicle and drive. ****

Available locations: Collingwood, Ontario (Overnight, days, evenings, and every other weekend availability)

Foreign trained nurses with documentation to support, second-year RPN students, and third-year RN students are also eligible.

The Work You Will Do

As a Personal Caregiver, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients on a one-to-one basis in the client's private homeand deliver exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide homemaking services including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management.
  • Offer companionship and/or accompany clients to community activities and events.
  • Provide personal care according to the care plan.
  • Ensure clients' emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety.
  • Assist with activities of daily living as per client needs.
  • Perform specialized procedures with proper training and current competency.
  • Observe and document client conditions; report changes to supervisors.
  • Follow infection prevention practices.

Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong caregiving principles and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; French is an asset.
  • Ability to provide high-quality community care services.
  • Physical ability to assist clients, lift up to 23 kg, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Reliable transportation; driver’s license and vehicle are assets.
  • Clear Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
