Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking an engaging lobby/service associate to guide customers, offer personal banking and investment guidance, and collaborate with branch teams to deliver a smooth, customer-first experience.

You will identify needs, discuss banking channels, and facilitate referrals while staying compliant and informed about products and market trends. This role may involve multiple branches depending on market needs.

Qualifications

• Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field.
• Registration to sell investment products in Canada to be completed within 12 months.
• Confident with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools and applications.
• Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales role.
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
• Drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
• A focus on results in a consultative, team-based environment.
• Resourceful self-starter with courage to approach customers.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and listening abilities.
• Verbal & written communication skills; organization and teamwork.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and guides customers in-branch and via digital channels.
• Identifies referral opportunities with BMO partners to grow relationships.
• Conducts client conversations to discuss banking services and channels.
• Meets transaction-based needs with seamless execution.
• Reviews customer profiles to identify opportunities and address banking needs.
• Supports branch operations and compliance processes.
• Collaborates with branch teams and adapts to market needs.
• Maintains knowledge of personal banking products and trends and applies to conversations.
