Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide primary care for post-operative patients in phase 2 recovery. You will assess, intervene, educate and advocate for patients in alignment with Nursing College standards and Sunnybrook's patient-centered philosophy.

The role requires current Ontario nursing registration, post-surgical care experience, and ability to work across peri-anaesthesia areas with strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Significant post-surgical care experience.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Arterial line and ECG monitoring experience required.
• Flexibility to work across peri-anaesthesia areas.
• Strong patient assessment skills and clinical decision making.
• Ability to work in high-stress, multi-disciplinary settings.
• Commitment to continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for post-operative patients in phase 2 recovery.
• Conduct assessments, interventions and education per standards.
