Job summary

University Health Network seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse Educator to join the Surgical Services leadership team at Toronto General Hospital. You will develop and deliver education, mentor nurses and collaborate with academic partners to advance clinical practice.

You will apply evidence-based approaches, lead program evaluation and support quality improvement while aligning with health and safety regulations. OR nursing expertise and professional engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and able to practice without restrictions.
• Completion of an ORNAC approved perioperative education or equivalent.
• 5+ years in the OR setting is preferred.
• Advanced nursing practice in the OR and efficiency improvements.
• Current RNAO membership and related professional affiliations.
• Graduate degree in Nursing or Education (or pursuing).
• Experience in adult education, program planning, development and evaluation.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Experience as an Educator is an asset.
