Job description

We’re looking for a People & Talent Specialist who is passionate about connecting great people with great opportunities while creating an exceptional Team Member experience.

As a key member of our People & Culture team, you’ll support the full talent lifecycle—from attracting and hiring top talent to onboarding, engagement, and ongoing People & Culture initiatives. You’ll work closely with Leaders across the organization, providing responsive, thoughtful support while helping us continue to build a strong, people-focused culture.

This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys recruitment but wants a role that extends beyond traditional recruiting.

What You’ll Do
  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
  • Partner with Leaders to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Create engaging job postings and manage postings across appropriate recruitment channels.
  • Source and engage qualified candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and other sourcing strategies.
  • Screen applicants, conduct interviews, coordinate Leader interviews, and support candidate selection.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and welcoming candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Prepare employment offers and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and candidate information within our HR systems.
  • Support recruitment reporting and monitor key metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and hiring trends.
  • Onboarding & Team Member Experience
  • Coordinate a seamless onboarding experience for new Team Members.
  • Partner with Leaders to ensure new hires are welcomed, prepared, and set up for success.
  • Support orientation and onboarding activities and continuously identify opportunities to enhance the new-hire experience.
  • Conduct onboarding check-ins and gather feedback to help strengthen retention and engagement.
  • Support Team Member engagement, recognition, culture, and People & Culture initiatives.
People & Culture Support
  • Serve as an approachable first point of contact for Team Members and Leaders on general People & Culture questions.
  • Support employment documentation, Team Member changes, and HRIS data accuracy.
  • Assist with People & Culture programs, communications, surveys, training, and special projects.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of People & Culture processes, templates, and resources.
  • Help ensure practices and documentation align with company policies and applicable Ontario employment legislation.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a broader Human Resources role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A service‑oriented mindset and genuine interest in creating positive candidate and Team Member experiences.
  • Confidence working collaboratively with Leaders at different levels of an organization.
  • Experience working with an HRIS/ATS; Dayforce experience is an asset.
  • Experience within property management, real estate, hospitality, or another multi-site environment is an asset.
  • CHRP designation or progress toward the designation is considered an asset.
