Job summary

Aon is seeking a strategic People Organization Business Partner & Organizational Effectiveness Lead to shape Canada's workforce agenda from Toronto. Qualifications

  • Progressive HR experience in large, complex organizations.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning, organizational design, or business transformation.
  • Ability to translate data into action and outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building, advisory, coaching, and communication skills.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and growth goals.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Use workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate insights into actions.
  • Advise on organizational effectiveness, team design, productivity, and change management.
  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives and guide leaders through change.
  • Champion inclusive leadership and a high-performance culture.
  • Leverage Workday and other tools to improve decision-making and colleague experience.
  • Collaborate with COEs to deliver scalable, enterprise-aligned solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of people processes.

We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking People Organization Business Partner & Organizational Effectiveness Lead to help shape the future of our workforce in Canada. This role is ideal for an HR professional who combines strong business insight with a passion for talent, organizational effectiveness, data-driven decision-making, and transformational change.

This role is hybrid, Toronto office preferred.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

What the day will look like

As a trusted advisor to leaders, you will partner with the business, Human Capital Centres of Excellence (COE's), and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to drive workforce strategies that enable growth, strengthen leadership capability, and enhance the colleague experience.

  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Use workforce data and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate insights into action.
  • Advise leaders on organizational effectiveness, team design, productivity, and change management.
  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives and help leaders successfully navigate change.
  • Champion inclusive leadership, colleague engagement, and a high-performance culture.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, Workday, and people technologies to improve decision-making and colleague experience.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital COE's and GCC's to deliver scalable, enterprise-aligned solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by simplifying, modernizing, and optimizing people processes.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Progressive HR, Human Capital, or HR Business Partner experience gained through increasingly responsible roles within large, complex organizations.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders in a sophisticated or matrixed organization.
  • Strong business and financial competence.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to harness data and insights to influence decisions and deliver business outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building, advising, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent designation considered an asset.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
