Job summary

The New Network is hiring an HR and Recruitment Specialist to oversee people operations, talent acquisition, and employer brand across Western Canada. You will own onboarding, compliance, and recruitment for paramedics and related roles, while driving our social media presence to tell our story online.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in human resources or recruiting.
• Knowledge of provincial employment standards and labour regulations across Western Canada (AB, BC, SK).
• High discretion and sound professional judgment when managing confidential employee and medical compliance files.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to write clear, plain-language job posts and social content.
• Strong organizational habits and comfort navigating Microsoft 365, Meta Business Suite, applicant tracking/HR systems, and job boards.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding, including offer letters, employment contracts, orientations, and new-hire documentation.
• Maintain secure, confidential employee records and coordinate pay changes with payroll.
• Track and audit professional certifications and provincial licences for on-site deployment.
• Update HR policies and serve as the go-to contact for employee inquiries.
• Source and recruit Advanced Care Paramedics, Primary Care Paramedics, and EMRs for rotational work across Western Canada.
• Build and nurture a talent pool for project startups, site expansions, and winter surge demands.
• Screen candidates, coordinate hiring steps, and analyze recruitment source analytics.
• Manage and schedule content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X to highlight the team and our story.
