Job summary

Knak is a mission-driven SaaS company based in Ottawa seeking a proactive HR Generalist to join our Employee Success team. You’ll own day-to-day People Operations across the employee lifecycle, partnering with employees and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable programs and an exceptional experience.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in HR, strong knowledge of BambooHR, and a solid grasp of Canadian employment standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in HR/People Operations.
• 2–3 years as HR Generalist/HR Manager.
• Experience with BambooHR and data integrity.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment standards.
• Strong organization and communication.
• Ability to analyze People data.
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day People Operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Deliver exceptional employee experience with onboarding/offboarding.
• Support and grow Knak’s employer brand through recruitment marketing.
• Create internal communications using Knak’s platform.
• Plan and execute employee events, culture initiatives, and engagement programs.
• Maintain HR compliance and audits.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and reporting.
• Support recruitment during busy periods.
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance while maintaining confidentiality.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage AI/automation.
