Job summary

Product Care, a Vancouver-based environmental services organization, is hiring a People & Culture Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding and HRIS administration across Canada. You will manage employee documentation, training coordination, benefits, and respond to employee inquiries with discretion.

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with recruitment, employee onboarding, HR administration, and HRIS.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or Canadian jurisdictions is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment practices and employment standards is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable, reliable, and accountable with strong follow-through.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of Product Care, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

  • Assist with immigration, work permit, and related employment documentation as required.
  • Coordinate employee training and development activities, including scheduling and vendor coordination.

  • Assist with HR policy administration, policy updates, and HR documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for workplace health and safety and WorkSafeBC activities as required.
  • Assist with performance reviews, probation reviews, and exit interviews.
  • Support People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About The Position

The People & Culture Coordinator provides day-to-day operational and administrative support across the People & Culture function and supports employees across Canada. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role supports recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS administration, employee documentation, training coordination, employee inquiries, policy administration, employee engagement, and other HR programs and initiatives.

This position is well suited to an HR professional who is highly organized, dependable, service-oriented, and attentive to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, application screening, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
  • Conduct initial candidate interviews and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee offboarding activities, ensuring documentation and processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support preparation of offer letters, employment letters, contracts, and other HR documentation.
  • Act as an ambassador of Product Care, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
HR Administration & Employee Support
  • Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries and provide timely, professional, and customer-focused support on policies, benefits, and HR processes, escalating matters to the People & Culture Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and discretion in all communication with employees and managers.
  • Support employment documentation, employee changes, leaves, and other employee lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS information, including updates in Dayforce.
  • Assist with immigration, work permit, and related employment documentation and administrative processes as required.
HR Programs & Coordination
  • Coordinate employee training and development activities, including scheduling, communications, attendance tracking, and vendor coordination.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, events, and other workplace programs.
  • Assist with HR policy administration, policy updates, research, and maintaining HR documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for workplace health and safety and WorkSafeBC-related activities as required.
  • Assist with the annual performance review process and probation reviews.
  • Conduct exit interviews as part of employee resignation management.
  • Support People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
General HR Support and Special Projects
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
  • Work on time sensitive HR duties to support the People & Culture department.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
What You Bring

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant Human Resources experience, preferably in an administrator or coordinator capacity.
  • Experience with recruitment, employee onboarding, HR administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or Canadian jurisdictions is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment practices and employment standards is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable, reliable, and accountable with strong follow-through.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with sound judgment and the ability to identify when matters should be escalated.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working with employees and managers at different levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in computer software applications e.g., MS Office, Teams and Outlook.

This is a full-time permanent Vancouver-based position supporting approximately 100 employees across Canada. The role works closely with the People & Culture Manager and collaborates with employees, managers, and external service providers across the organization.
