People & Culture Business Partner - Western Canada

The People & Culture Business Partner serves as an influential people partner, advising leaders across the business, while playing a key role in developing and implementing People & Culture strategy and programs in support of short-term and long-term business goals with the overall goal of attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent. This role will work with teams across Canada to provide overall human resources leadership and support to ensure high quality customer service. Partners with leaders with respect to employee relations, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development. Administers, manages and implements People & Culture programs and services to ensure effective and efficient practices while contributing to a fast paced, collaborative work environment. A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the 'pulse' of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively develops and maintains effective business relationships within assigned divisions ensuring the integration of program planning and business needs with the appropriate P&C strategies, services and supports.
  • Build strong, credible and trusted relationships with leaders of the assigned division and utilizes P&C best practices to support the division’s goals.
  • Participates in annual business planning and business transformation processes to assess and plan future workforce needs, headcount growth requirements and implications on organizational structure meeting short- and long-term business priorities.
  • Understands human resources, labor market and industry trends and best practices and applies trends appropriately to meet the needs of assigned divisions.
  • Communicate, educate and train employees on human resources programs, policies and procedures.
  • Coach managers and employees on employee relations issues.
  • Advise on performance management opportunities, utilizing learning and development services as appropriate.
  • Participates in developing P&C goals, objectives, and systems, as well as partners with other P&C team members to provide enterprise-wide solutions.
  • In collaboration with other P&C team members, measures and evaluates impact of HR programs and services to ensure effectiveness within an assigned division and takes leadership role in developing and implementing programs, as assigned.
  • Utilizes HRIS and other software programs to manage data, monitor P&C metrics, and ensure data integrity within assigned division.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C practices and regulations, including the ability to apply P&C best practices to complex situations to support organizational goals and manage risk.
  • Excellent strategic thinking balanced with ability to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment, while maintaining a customer focus.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish credibility, confidence and trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Able to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Superior proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Experience with HCM systems, preferably Rippling HCM.
  • Fluency in French & English is an asset but not required.

At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this full-time position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
