Job summary

Stripe is hiring a People Consultant to join a global team supporting managers in the US and Canada. You will coach managers, advise on performance, career development, and employee relations, and apply HR policies and programs across geographies.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, change management, and a culture of empathy, inclusivity, and high performance. Office presence is expected in certain locations, with flexibility where possible.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a client-facing HR role.
• Direct Manager Support: advising and coaching managers at varying levels on performance, employee relations, and team culture.
• Legal knowledge of employment legislation in the United States and ability to work with legal counsel on complex matters.
• Analytical skills to diagnose problems using data and develop viable solutions.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and advise managers on performance management, development, and culture.
• Act as a subject matter expert on HR policies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations with legal counsel.
• Support talent programs, annual cycles, performance reviews, and employee listening.
• Guide change management and communications for reorganizations.
• Analyze people data to identify gaps in processes and employee experience.
• Ensure positive onboarding and departure experiences for employees.
• Lead with empathy to foster belonging and inclusivity.
