Stripe is seeking a People Consultant to join our global team. This Chicago-based role will support Stripe managers and their teams, primarily in the United States and Canada.

You will coach and advise managers on performance, career development, employee relations, and organization health to enable compliant, fair, and positive experiences for employees. You will partner with HR colleagues across functions, guide change management during reorganizations, analyze data to identify gaps, and drive

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a client-facing HR role or equivalent experience in a business-facing role
• Direct Manager Support: advising and coaching managers on performance, employee relations and culture
• Legal Knowledge: working knowledge of employment legislation in the United States
• Analytical Skills: ability to diagnose problems using data and develop viable solutions
• Continuous Improvement: seek ways to improve processes and gain support for changes that deliver impact
• Communication: excellent written and verbal English communication with managers at all levels

Responsibilities

• Manager Coaching: provide targeted coaching to managers at various levels
• HR Policy Expertise: act as a subject matter expert on HR policies and processes
• Legal and Compliance: work with legal counsel to ensure compliance with labor regulations
• People Programs: support talent management initiatives and employee listening
• Reorganization Support: guide change management and communications for restructuring
• Data and Insights: analyze people/process data to identify gaps
• User Focus: ensure excellent employee experiences across lifecycle stages
