The opportunity

As our Energy and Utility Business Unit continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our vibrant team based on the East Coast. This role can be based in Queensland or New South Wales and reports directly to the People and Culture Manager within the Energy and Utilities business.

What we’re looking for

You are an established People and Culture Business Partner who thrives under pressure, is focused on achieving results in an innovative, dynamic, fast-paced organization, using strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.

  • A Degree in Human Resources
  • Experience managing all related HR activities, including end-to-end support to a diverse portfolio of operational business units in a shutdown/project environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to translate HR objectives into day-to-day operational deliverables
  • Proficiency in providing general HR and IR advice, support, and guidance, with a working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Background in utilities sector or blue-collar industry/union representation experience is desirable
  • Ability to support managers with the interpretation of policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Support a working environment where people feel engaged, rewarded, and valued
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to negotiate and prioritize stakeholder requests effectively
  • Ability to build strong relationships within the business to collaborate, influence, and foster teamwork
