Job summary

Emera is seeking an HR Analyst, Pensions to join the Total Rewards team in Halifax, NS. You will oversee pension plan administration for Canadian affiliates, ensuring accurate calculations and smooth employee experiences.

You’ll collaborate with employees, retirees, and vendors, maintain documentation, and deliver education sessions. The role supports retirement programs and continuous process improvements within a large, multi-company organization.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years in HR with pension administration or total rewards.
• Proficient with HRIS systems (PeopleSoft) and data management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pension plan administration for Canadian affiliates and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate pension calculations with employees, retirees, and vendors.
• Maintain pension documentation and update systems as needed.
• Deliver employee education sessions on pension programs.
• Prepare material for Pension Committee meetings and annual statements.
• Support Supplemental Retirement Plans administration.
