Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
  • Valid G2/G driver’s license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist who has a passion for working with children and can provide care within the School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS). Our next Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist will thrive in a caring culture and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to make a meaningful difference in their community. If you are passionate about working with school-age children, building strong relationships, and demonstrating leadership, this role is ideal for you.

We have full-time and part-time roles available in our GTA locations (Toronto and Scarborough).

What you will be doing:
  1. Delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs in our School-based Rehabilitation Program, working in a dynamic environment to facilitate relationships between families, schools, and healthcare systems.
  2. Providing both virtual and in-person patient care.
  3. Offering short-term consultation, training, and intervention for specific rehabilitation needs.
  4. Assessing and treating pediatric clients with needs such as speech sound delays, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders.
  5. Working independently and as part of a team, supervising Communication Disorders Assistants as appropriate.
Skills needed for success:
  1. Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable to a changing environment.
  2. Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
  3. Reflective practice principles and systematic decision-making skills.
  4. Safety-focused, accountable, and highly organized with multitasking ability.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  7. Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
  8. Valid G2/G driver’s license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
  9. French language skills are an asset.
