Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care in Fergus, ON is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to support pediatric clients in both school and home settings. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and collaboration with families.

Key duties include administering medications, managing G/GJ tube care, seizure care, and documenting in accordance with CNO standards. You must be licensed with CNO, have BLS, and be able to commute to Fergus.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric nursing care in home and school settings.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, per CNO standards.
• Perform G/GJ tube care and management.
• Provide seizure care and management.
• Monitor medications and ensure safekeeping of narcotics.
• Maintain child records and documentation per CNO standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child’s condition to guardians and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the child’s equipment and belongings.
