Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority seeks a Registered Nurse (Pediatrics) at Victoria General Hospital to provide direct pediatric nursing care in the hospital setting. The role collaborates with the care team to ensure patient safety and high-quality pediatric services.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering care for patients from newborn to 16 years, coordinating with families and staff, and adhering to clinical standards and BC regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse must be licensed with BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Current CPR Basic Rescuer required.
• New grads should have completed Collaborative Learning Unit (CLU) or final pediatric preceptorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct pediatric nursing care in hospital.
• Report to Nurse Manager or designate and follow unit policies and standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Maintain patient safety and adapt care to pediatric needs.
