Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is seeking a Health Care Aide to support patient care under RN/RPN supervision in Ottawa. The role focuses on observation, mobility assistance, hygiene, and safety, while ensuring clear communication with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• PSW/Health Care Aide certificate or student status in nursing programs.
• Effective English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN/RPN direction and maintain observation.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, feeding, hygiene and safety.
• Support with environmental tasks to maintain a safe unit.
• Record patient information and communicate changes to nursing staff.
