Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) seeks a Health Care Aide/Patient Care Assistant to support patient care under RN/RPN supervision. You will perform observation, transfers, feeding, hygiene and documentation to ensure safety and comfort for pediatric patients.

Qualifications include a PSW/HCA cert or related student status; English communication, teamwork and physical stamina are essential. CPRC preferred and a Vulnerable Sector Check upon request.

Responsabilidades

• Provide constant observation of a patient in keeping with CHEO’s Sitter policy.
• Assist with restraining a patient if required.
• Accompany a patient to the playroom or other requested location.
• Observe and report the patient’s physical and psychological status to nursing staff.
• Assist in patient lift and transfers along with positioning, turning and ambulating patients.
• Weigh patients.
• Feeding, bathing/grooming and toileting.
• Assist with observing and noting input and output.
