Job summary

Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking an experienced pediatric emergency department nurse for the British Columbia Children’s Hospital. The role focuses on rapid assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization of pediatric patients within a Family-Centered Care model.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Nursing Program.
• Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Minimum of one year's recent pediatric or Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary nursing assessments and emergency care for pediatric patients.
• Triage pediatric patients using PCTAS and prioritize care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge teaching.
