Compass Group Canada is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in Ontario. You will administer payroll transactions, handle salary and labour transfers, and ensure data accuracy across payroll systems.

The role requires Level 1 Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification or equivalent, at least two years of payroll experience, and proficiency with UKG, Excel, and HRIS. Strong communication and discretion are essential. This is a real vacancy with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Level 1 of the National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program or equivalent payroll certification.
• Minimum two years of experience in a computerized payroll environment.
• Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment is an asset.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, EI, ROE requirements, and CRA regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Payroll Administration: Process payroll-related employee transactions including salary transfers, wage increases, layoffs, and ROEs.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation and audits.
• Administrative Support: Prepare payroll correspondence, maintain confidential payroll files, and manage communications.
