Whatwill you do?
· Other payroll or functional duties as required.
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years ofrelated experience in payroll coordination and administration, ideally in aunionized environment, with strong technical experience in various programs;
· Advanced knowledge of payrollrequirements, including Canada Revenue Agency payroll rules, year-endreporting, EHT, WSIB, etc.;
· Knowledge of collectiveagreement entitlements as well as related legislation such as EmploymentStandards Act;
· Good understanding of generalaccounting practices regarding journal entries, reconciliation and reporting;
· Strong knowledge andexperience in generating reports from a payroll system (Quadrant an asset) anddeveloping spreadsheets using payroll information;
· Advanced computer skills andthe ability to use a variety of software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.;
· Ability to work with limitedsupervision and practicing independent time management;
· Strong written and verbalcommunication skills;
· Professional, courteous andrespectful in all interactions;
· Ability to provide support toemployees on payroll information and enrollment forms and respond to employeeor management questions on a variety of payroll process inquiries;
· Exercises tact and judgmentwhen handling complaints from irate employees and managers when their pay isnot understood or as expected;
· Ability to be patient withrequests to generate reports with quick turnaround times;
· Establishes and maintainsworking relationships with managers and staff;
· Advanced written and verbalproficiency in English.

What would give you the edge?
· Canadian Payroll Association’s certificationis an asset.
· Experience in health care orpublic sector.
· Fluent in French or anotherlanguage.
Salary: OHaH Non-Union Band 4 - $67,765.50 to $80,915.67
Terms of Employment: Full-Time
