Job summary

Globalfaces Direct Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Sales Compensation Coordinator to oversee the accurate administration of variable compensation programs for Canada and the U.S.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Sales Operations, and Data Analytics to validate data, calculate incentives, and generate reports. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who loves numbers, data, and systems and wants to build a career in payroll.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll, HR, finance, compensation, accounting, or related field.
  • Strong interest in payroll, compensation, data, and financial processes.
  • Experience with calculating and administering variable compensation programs.
  • Experience with Excel; comfortable using formulas, sorting/filtering, and organizing data.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data reconciliation, audit and validation techniques).

Responsibilities

  • Support the weekly sales compensation process, including reviewing sales data and preparing incentive calculations.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly variable compensation payments.
  • Review compensation data for accuracy and identify discrepancies for investigation.
  • Prepare weekly payroll and performance reports for Field Offices and leadership.
  • Assist with compensation adjustments and updates as required.
  • Support reconciliations and maintain documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Provide support for the Canadian variable compensation program as needed.
  • Work with Sales Operations, Finance, and Data teams to resolve data and compensation questions.

Job description

The Payroll & Sales Compensation Coordinator supports the accurate and timely administration of variable compensation programs for employees across Canada and the U.S.


Working in tandem with HR, Finance, Sales Operations, and Data Analytics teams, this role supports weekly sales compensation processing including data validation, incentive calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and employee inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the weekly sales compensation process, including reviewing sales data, validating inputs, and preparing incentive calculations.

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly variable compensation payments.

  • Review compensation data for accuracy and identify discrepancies or unusual results for further investigation.

  • Prepare weekly payroll and performance reports for Field Offices and leadership.

  • Assist with compensation adjustments and updates as required.

  • Support reconciliations and maintain organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Provide support for the Canadian variable compensation program as needed.

  • Work with Sales Operations, Finance, and Data teams to resolve data and compensation-related questions.


Data & Process Support



  • Perform regular data checks and reconciliations to ensure payroll information is accurate.

  • Use Excel to organize, analyze, and validate payroll and compensation data.

  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.

  • Assist with documenting payroll processes and procedures.

  • Support system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.

  • Escalate complex or unusual payroll issues appropriately.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Your Experience and Training:


  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll, HR, finance, compensation, accounting, or a related field.

  • Recent graduate or post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Strong interest in payroll, compensation, data, and financial processes.

  • Experience working with Excel; comfortable using formulas, sorting/filtering, and organizing data.

  • Experience with calculating and administering variable compensation programs.


Your Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Comfortable working with numbers and large amounts of data.

  • Balance accuracy and efficiency

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Your Technical skills


  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll practices (U.S. exposure an asset)

  • Advanced Excel skills (required):

    • Complex formulas

    • Data reconciliation

    • Audit and validation techniques
