Job summary

TELUS is seeking a Payroll and Compliance professional to drive semi-monthly and monthly payrolls across Canada, ensuring SOX compliance and data protection. You will leverage SAP payroll and Excel, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support Total Rewards processes.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll/compliance, multi-jurisdiction experience including Canada/US/UK/EMEA, and a Business degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll and compliance experience in federal and provincial environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
• Experience in payroll operations across Canada, US, UK, and EMEA.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP HR/Finance modules.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support semi-monthly and monthly payrolls.
• Ensure payroll inputs/outputs comply with TELUS requirements and legislation.
• Meet SOX control requirements with accurate reporting.
• Provide coaching and sessions to ensure policy compliance.
• Protect and manage team member data securely.
• Leverage SAP payroll to deliver on deliverables.
• Lead year-end payroll processes.
• Update payroll and benefits documentation on intranet.
• Act as Trusted Advisor to P&C Operations and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business partners to align programs and obtain approvals.
• Build relationships across Canada within P&C and represent Payroll capabilities.
