Work Location: Hybrid in Montreal H2N 2H8 ( Any 2 Days from office)
Duration: 6 months plus extensionsShift & Hours: 8 AM -5 PM with 1 hour break (40 hours a week)
Interview Process: 1 st round with hiring manager via MS Teams (60 mins). 2 nd Round with team leader via MS Teams (45 mins)
Job Description: Our client is seeking a Payroll Analyst to lead payroll operations for Canada and LATAM. The role involves timely auditing to ensure successful Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly and Monthly payrolls, maintaining process and procedure documentation, and implementing process changes within the operations team. The analyst will collaborate closely with management to identify issues, implement solutions, and test process impacts. Additionally, the role requires data analysis while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws in Canada and LATAM.
Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:- Conducts verification and reconciliation tasks in line with departmental checks and balances; investigates audit discrepancies.
- Handles inquiries, requests, and concerns related to payroll functions, such as employees time keeping and compensation.
- Maintains employee compensation records, various reports, files, and confidential personnel data related to payroll.
- Compiles, reviews, reconciles, and documents transactions for payroll adjustments.
- Communicates with personnel at all levels to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate processing and record-keeping.
- Performs routine and complex reconciliations support tasks in payroll services, including posting/data entry, data calculations, accuracy verification, audits, and reviewing third party vendor source documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Bi-lingual Canadian French + English (must have)
- 7+ years' experience in Payroll Operations with In-House processing and 1 to 3 years
- Proven track record of effectively communicating with and influencing at all levels.
- Able to help others navigate through difficult situations.
- Highly accurate, analytical, timely and detail oriented.
- Strong judgment with ability to deal effectively with projects as well as tactical operational details.
- Results and customer service-oriented individual who possesses a positive can-do attitude, continually striving for excellence.
- Ability to work with individuals, groups and teams to identify issues and solve problems.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with UKG Pro and Workforce Management Timekeeping
- LATAM or International experience
