Job summary

BC SPCA is seeking a Payroll Consultant for a six-month temporary, full-time assignment based at the Provincial Office in Vancouver with a hybrid schedule.

You will partner with the Payroll Team to analyze end-to-end payroll processes, ensure compliance with CRA and BC standards, and explore Dayforce enhancements and integration with Dayforce and Vena to improve accuracy and controls.

Qualifications

• Payroll compliance designation and 8–10 years experience in a complex, unionized environment.
• Expert knowledge of CRA and BC Employment Standards.
• Experience interpreting payroll obligations in collective agreements.
• Experience configuring HRIS/payroll (Dayforce).
• Excellent communication and relationship skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to document payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll procedures and draft a procedures manual.
• Provide recommendations to enhance payroll processing, reporting, workflows and controls.
• Conduct risk assessment related to payroll matters.
• Advise on training for payroll compliance.
• Assist with Dayforce and Dayforce–Vena integration considerations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
