Job summary

UBC Okanagan is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to provide exceptional payroll service and expert guidance on Workday processes for the campus community. You will respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure timely, accurate payroll operations across departments.

The role requires strong customer service, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Vancouver Payroll team and campus stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school graduation plus a two-year post-secondary diploma in accounting, finance or business, or equivalent.
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification required.
• Ability to understand Workday payroll processes and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide payroll services for the Okanagan campus and administer payroll tasks to meet deadlines.
• Act as front-line liaison for staff to resolve technical questions and issues.
• Troubleshoot payroll inquiries and manage ServiceNow tickets and notifications.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll data for tax forms and year-end reporting.
• Support payroll training and share knowledge with campus partners.
