About The Role

DART Aerospace is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Assistant to support the payroll team in processing payroll for employees in Canada, the US, and other international locations. This role will be based at our Saint-Laurent, Quebec office and involves responsibilities in payroll administration, compliance, and basic HR support functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees across multiple regions (Canada, US, and international)
• Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, including benefits, reimbursements, deductions, and other inputs
• Process various types of payments such as regular pay, premiums, allowances, commissions, and retroactive adjustments
• Calculate and reconcile vacation, sick leave, and compensation time balances
• Maintain comprehensive payroll and benefits records for audit and compliance purposes
• Manage employee record updates including new hires, terminations, tax changes, and banking information
• Generate and file records of employment, tax forms, and payment remittances
• Support HR with administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, preparing letters, and contacting candidates
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll or accounting
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ADP is considered an asset
• Bilingual (French and English) is required due to the need to support employees in Quebec, Ontario, and the US
