Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP is recruiting a Payroll and Benefits Administrator in Vancouver to join the HR and Accounting teams. The role handles semi-monthly/monthly payroll, benefit deductions, RRSP administration, ROEs and T4s, and payroll reconciliations with the GL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years payroll processing experience.
• Intermediate Excel experience.
• Knowledge of payroll-related legislative requirements (e.g. Employment Standards Act).
• Experience in handling benefit and GL reconciliations.
• Ability to perform arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze and balance data.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll.

• Manage benefit invoice reconciliations and ensure premiums are paid on time.
• Reconcile payroll/benefit accounts to the GL.
• Report payroll and reconcile payments to WCB and WSIB.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets (hourly employees, vacation pay, benefit premiums, WCB, etc.).
• Administer firm benefits and group RRSP program.
• Process ROEs and annual T4s.
• File annual EHT in BC and Ontario; remit payment quarterly.
• Assist with employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with HR on employee changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP is a leading law firm dedicated to providing a full range of business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients throughout Canada and abroad. We proudly manage a large firm practice, while maintaining the close relationships and culture of a smaller firm.

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our firm. This position works closely with both the Human Resources and Accounting departments and will report directly to the Director of HR.

Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll.
• Maintain payroll deductions in relation to benefit programs.
• Manage ongoing benefit invoice reconciliations and ensure benefit premiums are paid in a timely manner.
• Reconcile payroll/benefit accounts to the GL.
• Report payroll and reconcile payments to WCB and WSIB.
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets (hourly employees, vacation pay, benefit premiums, WCB, etc.)
• Administration of all firm benefits and group RRSP program.
• Process ROEs and annual T4s.
• File annual EHT in BC and Ontario; remit payment quarterly.
• Assist with employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with HR on various employee changes.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:

AHBL offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000. We also offer a variety of benefits, including:
