Qualifications

  • Accounting Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • PCP designation an asset.
  • 2-5 years of payroll experience.

  • Process biweekly payroll for 200+ employees in ON and BC.
  • Process weekly payroll for a small group in QC.
  • Support the finance team with payroll entries and deductions.
  • Prepare payroll reports including deductions, reconciliations, WSIB remittances, T4s and ROEs.

Job description

Our client, a professional services firm, is looking for a Temporary Payroll Administrator to support their team during an absence.

If you have experience using Dayforce for full-cycle payroll and are available to start work immediately for a short term contract, The contract will be a minimum of a few weeks and potentially will be extended for 3-6 months.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid in London, ON (open to remote). 35-hour work week. Compensation: $35 - $42 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing biweekly payroll for 200+ employees in ON and BC
  • Processing weekly payroll for a small group in QC
  • Supporting the finance team with payroll entries and deductions
  • Reporting tasks including: calculating payroll deductions, reconciliation of payroll, WSIB remittances, creating payroll entries, and various reporting tasks such as month and year end reporting and activities, T4s, and ROEs.
Qualifications
  • Accounting Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • PCP Designation an asset
  • 2-5 years of previous payroll work experience required
  • Experience working within a legal environment an asset
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Above-average accurate data entry skills
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Customer service orientated
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team setting
