Job summary

407 ETR is seeking a Manager, Payment Strategy and Cash Operations to lead cash administration, banking relationships, and customer payment solutions on a 12-month contract in Woodbridge, ON. You will drive processing improvements, regulatory compliance, and vendor management.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of payment processing, and experience implementing cost-saving initiatives while enhancing the customer payment experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience in financial operations, banking, cash administration, payment operations, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, cash management, payment processing, and financial reconciliations.
• Knowledge of digital payment channels, payment gateways, merchant services, card payment networks, electronic payments, and banking platforms.
• Experience leading business transformation, process improvement, and technology implementation initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end oversight of financial transaction processing, including cash receipts, refunds, rejects, customer payments, and banking transactions.
• Manage back-office operations for the Customer Payment Solutions team, ensuring workflow management and internal controls.
• Provide oversight of banking operations to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Develop and execute payment strategy initiatives to enhance channel performance and cost efficiency.
• Analyze payment trends and cost drivers to identify opportunities to reduce processing expenses.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives related to payment systems, banking integrations, and automation.
• Oversee implementation of new technologies by defining requirements and coordinating testing.
• Partner with IT, Finance, and external vendors to advance automation opportunities.
