Job summary

Peoples Group is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support our Wholesale Payments operations across Canada. You will aid client onboarding, process transactions, and resolve issues while coordinating with internal partners to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in an operations role within financial services.
• Experience supporting business technology initiatives and/or digital channels within financial services is preferred.
• Experience working directly with clients and third-party service providers.
• Experience with API development and integration, CX and UX design is considered an asset.
• Understanding of the Canadian payments landscape and Payments Canada rails including EFT, RTR, INTERAC e-Transfer, SWIFT, ISO 20022.
• Familiarity with payments operations, funds transfers, settlement, issuing and acquiring activities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational transactions accurately within SLAs.
• Support onboarding, account maintenance, transaction processing, and operational administration.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues; escalate complex matters as needed.
• Respond to client inquiries and complaints professionally and timely.
• Proactively follow up on client requests and escalations for satisfactory resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and support operations goals.
• Prepare reports and updates for management and stakeholders.
• Review processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
