The position is seasonal, full-time (30–60 hours/week), with early morning to night shifts. Transportation provided, travel expenses paid for out-of-city work, and staff accommodation available.

Responsibilities

• Based in Calgary, AB, work in various locations in the Calgary area; transportation provided by the employer, travel expense paid by the employer if work is outside the city

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, full-time (30 to 60 hours per week, weather dependent), Early Morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime required

Wage: $34-$37/hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per the company's policy)

Duties:

• Grader Operator will level and spread material such as dirt and gravel to achieve the required fine grading and finishing.
• Screed Operator will lay, spread, and level hot mix asphalt on roads and other surfaces. They will operate asphalt hand controls and set up auto sensors to achieve the appropriate grade on the finished surface.
• Operate GPS machine-control systems on graders
• Roller Operator will compact freshly laid asphalt to the desired finishing.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
• Operate computer-controlled equipment
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
• Secure special attachments to equipment
• Must participate and adhere to all safety rules and procedures
