Position Overview:

The Manitoba government seeks a Pavement Management Research Technologist to support the department of Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure. The role involves managing the pavement management system, integrating data sources, ensuring data quality, analyzing treatment performance, updating models, and developing reports and maps.

Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Post-secondary qualification with advanced GIS diploma, certificate, or degree, or equivalent experience
• Experience in database management, data interpretation, and analysis
• Proficiency in GIS software
• Data quality assurance and analysis skills
• Map creation using GIS platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired:

• Knowledge of Linear Referencing System (LRS)
• Understanding of pavement, materials, surface distress types, and highway maintenance practices
